Chest Waxing – Pre-Appointment & Aftercare Guide
Pre-Appointment Preparation:
✅ Exfoliate – Gently exfoliate the chest area 24 hours before your appointment to remove dead skin cells and help achieve a smoother result.
✅ Avoid Moisturising – Do not apply lotions, oils, or creams on the day of your waxing, as this can prevent the wax from adhering properly.
✅ Hair Length – Ensure hair is at least ¼ inch (about the length of a grain of rice) for effective waxing. Avoid trimming too short.
✅ Stay Hydrated – Drink plenty of water to keep your skin hydrated and reduce sensitivity.
✅ Avoid Sun Exposure – Stay out of direct sunlight and avoid tanning beds for 48 hours before waxing to prevent skin irritation.
✅ Pain Management – If you’re sensitive to waxing, consider taking a mild pain reliever (like ibuprofen) 30 minutes before your appointment.
✅ Wear Loose Clothing – Choose a breathable, loose-fitting top to avoid irritation after your wax.
Aftercare Advice:
✅ Keep Skin Cool & Clean – Avoid touching or scratching the area and wear loose clothing to prevent irritation.
✅ Avoid Heat & Sweat – For 24-48 hours, skip hot showers, saunas, sunbeds, heavy workouts, and swimming pools to prevent irritation.
✅ Moisturise & Soothe – Apply an aloe vera gel or a fragrance-free moisturiser to calm the skin and reduce redness.
✅ Exfoliate Gently – After 48 hours, lightly exfoliate the chest area 2-3 times a week to prevent ingrown hairs.
✅ Avoid Harsh Products – Stay away from fragranced lotions, self-tanners, and harsh exfoliants for at least 48 hours.
✅ No Shaving Between Appointments – Let the hair grow out naturally for your next waxing session to maintain smooth results.
For best results, book your next wax every 4-6 weeks!
